Our goal is to help strengthen South Korea’s economy
by fostering the shipping industry through the promotion
of a cooperative organization of shipping businesses,
while also building on past and present successes.

| - On Sep. 21, 1949. Establishment
of Korea Federation of Shipping Association. |
|
- On Dec. 30, 1961. Promulgation
of Korea Shipping Association Act (Article 917).
|
|
- On Jul. 3,
1962. KFSA changes name to Korea Shipping Association
(KSA).
|
|
- On Mar. 13. 1980. Recipient
of a presidential award on Korea\'s 4th annual Shipping
Industry Day.

- On Jul. 20. 2001.
Recipient of ISO 9001:2000 / KSA 9001:2001 certification
for member services, passenger terminal management,
and insurance.

- On May. 31. 2004. Recipient
of a presidential award on Korea\\'s 9th annual Ocean
Day.

- 2003~2007 Named “the top management performance
organization” among affiliated organizations by Korea\\\\'s
Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries.
